Born 1885-03-10 in Canaan Township, Gasconade County, Missouri (USA) to Louis Nebelsick and Louisa Tracht. Died 1973-05-01, buried in Wellsburg (IA) (USA). Lydia moved from Hickman, Nebraska to a nursing home in Aplington, Iowa after being struck by a train around 1968. She was paralyzed on one side. Her son Albert would retire from the Army in 1969 and move to Wellsburg, Iowa (close to Aplington).

Married 1927-02-11 in Alexandria, Hanson County, South Dakota to Geerd (George) Boekhoff.  George and Lydia were subsequently divorced, presumably during the time George was institutionalized in South Dakota.
